We are down to the homestretch in the Community Foundation's 30th Anniversary Grant program. After receiving nearly 60 nominations from all over Clark and Floyd Counties in Southern Indiana, we have narrowed down our finalists to 10 deserving nonprofit organizations.

Now, we're ready to select one winner from each category -- and we need YOUR help! Vote for the nonprofit organization you would like to see take home one of two $15,000 grants available.

Public voting accounts for 25% of the final score & closes on Friday, Nov. 12 at 11:59 p.m.

EXPLAINED:

What is the 30th Anniversary Grant?

To commemorate three decades of philanthropy, the Community Foundation will be awarding $30,000 in grants — $15,000 each to a pair of Clark and Floyd County nonprofit organizations. The grants will be awarded at the Foundation's 30^th Anniversary Event, which will take place in December.

From Oct. 1-15, the public had the opportunity to nominate deserving nonprofits. Those organizations needed to provide proof that they serve the residents of Clark and Floyd Counties, have a physical location in Clark or Floyd County, and are a verified 501c3 public charity in good standing with the IRS.

Application screening began on Oct. 19. To provide a more level playing field, two categories were created based on organization budget size. Five finalists from each category were selected and notified in early November.

Now, beginning Wednesday, Nov. 10 and lasting for 72 hours, community members will have the opportunity to electronically vote for one organization from each category. Selected winning nonprofits will be officially announced at the Community Foundation's 30^th Anniversary Event in December.
